Condo Project Summary Introducing a glamorous mixed-use condominium project in Toronto’s Fashion District. In this ambitious redevelopment, innovative architecture, urban energy and picturesque city skyline views will converge at the trendy intersection of Front Street West and Spadina Avenue. This is a joint pre-construction condominium project by RioCan, Diamondcorp, Tridel, Rhapsody Property Management Services and Allied. The Well Condos Occupancy is scheduled for 2021. The community will occupy the seven-acre site at 410 Front Street West, the former location of Toronto’s Globe and Mail building. A long-anticipated redevelopment, the entire project consists of seven towers, containing a mix of residential, retail and office space. A 36-storey office tower – the tallest structure in terms of metres – will occupy the southwest corner of the site, a beacon of contemporary architecture, acting as a gateway to the community. Further west along Front Street, three more buildings are proposed, standing 44, 38 and 21 storeys each. To the north of the site, along Wellington, three more buildings, two standing 15 storeys and one only 13. Amenities Each building – with the exception of the 36-storey office tower – will contain at least two uses, with some housing all three; retail, residential and office. This will create a lively, mixed community. Renowned architectural firm Hariri Pontarini has signed on to design this project, and careful consideration has gone into the structure and aesthetic of the complex. Each tower will have a striking modern look, while being anchored by a lower base building that will house retail shops on the first two floors. The base buildings will feature brick-based facades, a nod to the historic, industrial charm of many buildings in the Fashion District. The development will include plenty of landscaped grounds, as well as a glass-covered pedestrian breezeway running from the east to the west side of the site. Condominiums will consist of 1,587 residential units in total, with 792 being one-bedroom suites, 517 being two-bedroom suites and 174 allocated for three-bedroom suites. Robust communities like this, where one can live, work and shop, are at the heart of downtown’s future. The lively mix of retail, lifestyle amenities, luxury office space and options for entertainment will make this condo building a coveted address for those who thrive on the energy of urban culture and value a livable, sustainable neighbourhood.
